Rhea Zenzen (Bonneau)
WATERFORD Rhea Zenzen, 90, formerly of Middletown Rd. Waterford died peacefully Monday, October 27, 2014 at the Eddy Village Green. Born in Cohoes she was the daughter of the late George and Agnes Fields Bonneau. She was a graduate of the former Keveny Memorial Academy.
Rhea was very active in her religion and was a CCD teacher at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in Waterford. She also was involved in the Charismatic Movement. She and her late husband Mike were active in the Right to Life Organization as well as the Marriage Encounter Program. Of all the wonderful things she accomplished in her life she is remembered by many as the “Lunch Lady” at Waterford Halfmoon School.
She was widow of Michael J. Zenzen Sr. who died in 2010 and is the loving mother of Mary Ann Skpowski of Cohoes, Michael J. Zenzen Jr. (Rita) of Rensselaer, Joan Vroman of Saratoga and the late Lisa Baker. She is sister of Muriel Cavanaugh of Troy, the late Florence Rogers and Roland Bonneau. She is the proud grandmother of Kimberly Skylstad (Travis) of Ballston Spa, Wendy Daley (Kevin) of Newton, MA, Stephen Vroman (Kathleen) of Troy, Alicia Sullivan (Michael) of Latham, Mark Skpowski (Valery) of Matthews, NC and Michael Vroman of Saratoga. Also surviving are her great grandchildren, Matthew, Richard, Olivia, Patrick, Natalie, Sarah, Robert, Alexander, Tyler and Nathaniel as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Friday at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church, 122 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes where the Mass of Christian Burial will be offered. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Waterford.
There will be no public calling hours.
