Condolence From: Bethany Moore
Condolence: In March 2001, I read a tiny little article in the newspaper about the Arctic Foxes Women's Hockey team. I had never played hockey and had three little kids, but I thought to myself, that sounds like fun. I emailed and asked, "Do you really take anyone?" and Lisa said "Yes, come join the Foxes!". Lisa was so welcoming and kind to this woman who hadn't skated in years, had only skated on figure skates, and had public-rink-itis (could only skate counter clockwise).

Two short years later a job transfer took me away from Clifton Park, but I will always cherish the time I spent with Lisa and the Foxes.

I am so sad to hear of Lisa's passing. Many prayers and my condolences go out to the whole family.

Condolence: Lisa,
My childhood friend, my running partner in cross country. Can't believe it's your face on this funeral web page. Life is so unfair at times.
When I found you again at the Pride 5k a couple of years back, it was nice to reconnect. I only wish we could have spent more time together. Life has a funny way of getting in the way.
So happy to hear that you found Cindy and were able to spend time loving, laughing and enjoying precious moments.
I'll miss your smile and your unbridled optimism.
your friend
Lori Francesconi

Condolence: I am honored to have known and worked with such a beautiful person. Lisa had a kind and caring heart. I shared my classroom with her one year at Shen West and she would make me laugh everyday. I could tell she had a passion for helping students...she cared a lot for them.

Eternal rest grant unto her, Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon her. May she Rest In Peace. Amen.

Condolence From: Margaret Launer
To Lisa’s family and friends,

Packed up with my son’s old hockey equipment and a pair of figure skates slung over my shoulder; I showed up at the Clifton Park arena to sign up for women’s hockey. Lisa was the first person I met that day. She is why I stayed. I had never met anyone like her, and I probably never will. Lisa didn’t care I was a decade or so older than the rest of the women, and never played hockey. She was just glad I showed up.
We both had a good laugh at the figure skates I brought to a hockey clinic.

An unbridled pony romping and leaping through a sun-filled meadow is the only way to describe Lisa’s personality. Her energy and enthusiasm for life, sports, and family was limitless. With all this energy you would think she wasn't a caring person, you would be wrong! When I had pneumonia and was out of hockey for 6 weeks, she faithfully called me every Sunday for an update on my condition and with the same question ‘you coming to hockey yet’? After the sixth week Lisa called and had a request ‘you call me when you are coming back to the ice, you must have so much energy bottled up, I don’t want to be out there on the ice on your first skate’.
Did I mention a sense of humor?

Lisa was the ultimate cheerleader in life. The person who’s passion for life was enjoyed by all. Whenever I think of Lisa, I smile. What a powerful tribute to humanity; to leave the people surrounding her forever grateful she was once their friend.

Love, peace and joy will follow your memory always.

Love, Margaret Launer
