Obituary for Domenick "Sonny" Carnevale

Domenick  "Sonny" Carnevale
WATERFORD Domenick “Sonny” Carnevale, 82, of South St. died suddenly Friday December 8, 2017 at Saratoga Hospital. Born and educated in Waterford he was a lifelong resident here and was the son of the late Domenico and Margaret Choppy Carnevale.

Sonny had been employed for 30 years at the former Bendix Corp in Green Island now Honeywell International. He retired in 1990. He was a veteran of the US Army. Sonny was a member of the Cohoes-Waterford Lodge of Elks and the Speigle Elders. He was a lifelong NY Giants fan as well as a fan of the Albany River Rats/Devils Hockey Team and supported their Booster Club.

Survivors include his devoted wife of 60 years, Arlene Francesconi Carnevale. He is the brother of Marge Comitale of Florida, the late Mary Costantini, Carmen Cantanucci, Louis and Vincent Carnevale. Many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no public calling hours. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Waterford.

Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
