Obituary for Edward Kewley

Edward  Kewley
TROY Edward J. Kewley, 84 of Brook St. died Friday March 9, 2018 at Samaritan Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Troy he was the son of the late John and Iola Lundrigan Kewley and was a 1951 graduate of Fairhaven, VT High School.

Ed had been employed by the US Postal Service for 14 years and retired in 1998. Prior to that he was employed by the former Troy News. He was a veteran of the US Navy and served as a Signalman during the Korean War. He was a member of the Veterans of Lansingburgh, a former member of the Schaghticoke Zoning Board and a supporter of the Volunteer Drum and Bugle Corps. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid NY Giants fan.

Ed was the husband of the late Marlene Hamilton Kewley who died in 1999. He is the devoted father of Scott E. Kewley and Kyle M. Kewley of Troy and brother of Jane Beimgraben of Texas, the late John Kewley and Patricia Fath. He is the proud grandfather of Jordan Kewley of Troy.

A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 7 pm at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford.

Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5- 7 pm prior to the memorial service.
