Obituary for Thomas Bowles Jr.

Thomas  Bowles Jr.
LOUDONVILLE Thomas E. Bowles Jr. 76, of Rachlin Lane passed away peacefully Thursday April 26, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Troy he was the son of the late Thomas E. Bowles Sr. and Mary Cunningham Bowles.

Tom had been employed for 27 years at Catholic Central High School in Troy and retired in 2015. Prior to that he was employed at Adirondack Steel Co. He was a member of the Troy Boat Club and the Watervliet Chapter of the AOH. He enjoyed spending time with his family as well as boating, bowling, camping and coin collecting.

Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Angele Zakarian Bowles, his devoted children, Thomas E. Bowles III of Ava, NY, Diane A. Smith of Latham and Jennifer M. Bleichert (Rob) of Loudonville. He is the brother of Mary Mahoney of Clifton Park, Janet Svec of Halfmoon, Bill Bowles of Troy, Nancy Deans of Latham, Donnie Bowles of Waterford and the late Richard Bowles. He is the proud grandfather of Danielle, Lindsey, Justin, Jonathan, Angel, Christian, Caitlin, Ryan, Evan, Christopher, Keirsten and Devyn. 2 Great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 am at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford with Rev. Geoffrey D. Burke officiating. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Watervliet.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday from 4-7 pm.
