Obituary for Ralph "Mike" Swartz

Ralph "Mike"  Swartz
COHOES Ralph “Mike” Swartz, 70, of Clarice Lane died after a long courageous battle with a progressive lung disease on Thursday May 17, 2018 at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Born in Butte MT he was the son of the late Ralph Roland and Elizabeth Casey Swartz. He moved to this area in 2006.

Mike was employed by the FBI as an Intelligence Analyst and retired out of the Albany office in 2017. He was a veteran of the US Army and served with the 802nd in Military Intelligence in Washington, DC.

Survivors include his wife Mary LaBombard Swartz, his children Matthew Swartz (Karla) of Kensington, MD, Cameron Clark (Matt), and Kate Williams (Norm) of Flagstaff, AZ and his stepchildren, Abigail Ayotte (Mark) of Waterford, Aaron Huls (Caitlyn) of Savannah, GA and Justin Huls (Sarah) of Troy. Also surviving are his sisters, Clair Swartz of Stony Point and Cheryl Swartz, as well as 12 grandchildren.

Committal services with Military Honors will be Friday May 25 at 11:30 am at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may visit with Mike’s family at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford on Friday from 9 – 10:30 am prior to the funeral.
